I finally got "on camera" that boar I once, on a summer night, in the early morning hours, had already drawn my bow on. I didn’t take the shot, because it had already started heading back toward the forest from the wallow, and the aiming point wasn’t entirely clear in the barely-breaking light.

These frosty mornings lately have been drawing the local wildlife to the scattered corn. Because of their fast metabolism, the roe deer set aside their caution and are now regularly visiting this secluded, undisturbed little feeder even during the day.

Tonight these two hogs ruled the old bowhunting feeder. Of course, I was at my new stand, where there was hardly any movement.

The Spypoint Flex-S camera, deployed half a year ago and refilled every two months, is performing really well. To get an assessment as close to reality as possible, the week before the hunt I switch it over to short video recordings, which this time captured a visit from a regular badger guest.
